Midland 40 Watt GMRS MicroMobile Two-Way Radio – Long Range Walkie Talkie, 8 Repeater Channels, 142 Privacy Codes
Now this is an amazing radio! I use GMRS radios while filming production movies and we sometimes travel to BFE! This radio has the range we need while scouting locations and are able to communicate with no problem.
By far the best! Well made, not some cheap radio! You will love it! By the way, it communicates with all brands of hand held radios! Motorola, Cobra, and of course, Midland.

But this radio gets two major thumbs up! The entire crew enjoys it and everyone has them now. ?
Great radio and would give 5 star but it doesn’t have all the ctss tones and can’t add any. Overall quality is great
This is hands down the best FCC approved GMRS mobile available. Great sound, no shortage of power and works well with ALL repeaters, not just some like other models.
Bought this to replace our MX115 and increase the operating range. Didn’t realize that although much more expensive, it doesn’t offer the NOAA weather band. An unfortunate disappointment.
I purchased an MXT400 a little over a year ago but did not have an opportunity to install and use it until recently.
When I did install it, I noticed that my MIC jack would not seat properly despite a satisfying click and would pop out slightly, but enough to lose its connection.
As my unit just fell out of warranty from its purchase date, I lived with the fact that I would have to push it in when the receiving party could not hear me, a real nuisance.
